To Where the Map Leads

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 20, 2009, 10:15 PM
I officially signed the contract today so I took down To Where the Map Leads until I have the agent's permission to post anything here. Chapter one of Hoist the Colors will remain up for the time being.

I tell you what, book proposals suck. I am sitting here trying to outline my four book series and coming up with crap for names.

Series title: The Pirate Chronicles (tentative)

Hoist the Colors:

To Where the Map Leads - I would love to change this, but nothing is coming to mind.

When the Sea Calls

The Path of Redemption (tentative)

Can you think of anything more bland? Well titles can always change thank goodness. Tomorrow I will write a small paragraph on each book which is great because on the fourth I have no freaking clue.

Oh, I did find an old story I wrote in high school/junior college I am editing to post as well. It is modern (gasp) and was set in the bay area but will change it to Reno I think. Look for it soon.

So, any plans for the weekend guys?

I am sure you guys have noticed but I have been flooding the dA world with a ton of publishing articles. Now that I actually have an agent, I am putting out all the material I found that helped me in the process. The less work you have to do to find this stuff, the better.

1.)Finding your Genre

2.) Writing a Query

3.) Writing a Synopsis

4.) Lists of Agents (1-5)

5.) Useful Publishing Links
