The Resented Ch6Chapter Six- Lab RatThe Resented Ch6
Three years later
As the many years past, whenever we were outside of the cell, all four of us were linked together by a chain around our ankle. We created a sort of code. We would speak in rhythms to each other when the guards were near. We would look depressed or sad while miserably quarreling with each other. That is the only way we could be assured to stay together. As soon as they saw us liking each other they would move us to another stall or put us through more hours of torture and experiments than we were already getting. It was their way of breaking our mental spirits. One day, three yea

The Resented Ch3CHAPTER THREE The UniformThe Resented Ch3
Alice woke up to the loud noise of the metal door swinging open. She had never realized how quiet it was in the small room until that point. She felt groggy. It was painful waking up, really painful. Every muscle in her body screamed against it and her mind exploded with a new and splitting headache. She wanted to sleep more, but a guard started yelling. Alice looked up only to realize the yelling was directed at her. she looked around at the four strangers, who appeared to be wide awake. The younger American man smiled warmly at her. She

The Resented Ch2CHAPTER 2 OrientationThe Resented Ch2
Hey, Rick took Alices hand and pulled her out to the backyard, where a crowd of people stood drinking, or playing volleyball. The party was getting a little too busy inside and Anna, whose parents owned the place, was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. She was rightly paranoid that the party goers were going to break something. Why dont we ditch this party and go somewhere a little more quiet? Alice laughed at his suggestion. She had drank a lot that night but she was not about to go off into the wood

The Resented Ch1Chapter 1- HopeThe Resented Ch1
I miss the sun. I miss my name. Oh God, whats my name?
The words repeated over and over in her head, like a broken record player. Blood trickled down her temple in a light thin stream. It was just starting to dry. She had been up all night and the morning light just began to show through the blindfold that had been tied tightly around her eyes. She heard the distant chatter of Arabic mixed with French. The realization that she was not alone sent her heart crashing in her chest. She sat

The Resented Ch4When I woke up, I noticed the room was empty except for the man around my age. I rubbed my eyes and pushed myself to a sitting position. He was awake and sat tapping his fingers together in boredom. He was not leaning against the wall and once I observed him closer, I saw it was because there were lashings across his back. The shirt he wore had wide necks that partially exposed his shoulders at times. I could see the fresh scars climbing up his back, although he looked as though he had not a pain in the world. The most striking thing about him was his beautiful green eyes. I guess that was one thing the guards could not take away fThe Resented Ch4

Lady of the LakeThere was a time I walked the shores, Of redemption and of pain, When from the lake her beauty called, And out of the waters she came.Lady of the Lake
Her eyes of blue captivated my soul, Beckoning me to her side, Her siren song unique to me, As she beseeched I be her bride.
Only when I loved her, She would be free of spell, To replace her fins for legs, So with the humans she may dwell.
I swore to her I would learn to love, Though it may take time, you see, The curse she put me under, Shall keep me trapped for all eternity.
Until I can
